"Kelly's print portfolio 'The Peace Project'
draws the viewer into a dialogue about peace and violence. 'Mourning' shows a shrouded
face almost obscured by the candles she is lighting.
'X-Ray' [has] the lower part of the mass shaped like a pelvis.
Moving up the right side of the print is the undulating pattern of the spinal column. Dead
centre in the image...is a white roughly circular shape that suggests a bullet still
lodged in the body...
'An Act of Love' depicts two hands reaching out, the fingers barely
touching. One hand reaches down, while the other is held up by a figure lying on the
ground...we view it from a postion that suggests that it might be our own body there on
the ground, our own arm...".
